about the mountain bike subculture.

this post is:
- offered by the author - a la memoire de lieutenant Jean Bastin,
ww1 french heroe - author of:
"la lutte pour la liberte, mes dix evasions. 1914 - 1917",
("un récit absolument extraordinaire d'évasions ratées au dernier moment
et souvent par malchance ou hasard puis enfin celle, la dixième, réussie
après la traversée de pratiquement toute l'Allemagne. certains, peu nombreux,
ne se résignent pas à être éloignés de leur patrie.")
  thank you Mr. Jean Bastin!

- an analogy, but respects the general rule of the blog,
(... would not venture into other sports.)

- meaningful teenwise mainly, the true teens' self esteem -
neither shaken, nor stirred here ever, :)

is crowd skating on speed skates, more like riding a mountain bike in a city?

yes, your speed skates (or mountain bike), might give you that "extra thrill" of
freedom, nonetheless you will be forced to adapt to the existing environment.
Mr. Jean Bastin did it 96 years ago, certainly you will succeed too;
the only question that remains is: your number of failures was?

good faith in good taste.

debating:

a. good faith in good taste? - lit., :)
ex. 1: good faith in "a la grecque" recipes, would help you reach a more subtle "a la grecque"
           taste? (d.i.y. repeteadly).
ex. 2: good faith in "al dente" recipes, would offer you a more varied taste of "al dente"?
           (d.i.y. repeteadly).

b. good faith in good taste? - fig., :)
ex. 1: good faith in "art nouveau", would build your taste in academic art, even further?
ex. 2: good faith in "der jugendstil" (art nouveau, :) ), would suit your taste of Wien &
           its heritage, even more?

the examples are just questions to ask ourselves, ...
..., but don't limit these to the above ...! :)

..., more here, than meets the eye, ...

did food ever fool you?

this post is offered by the author - homage to those affected by
peripheral neuropathy, ... some of these cannot skate any longer :( ...
this aproach is mainly statistical (consequently original).
the conclusions to this case study should be your own and may or may not be
extrapolated to other serious human health conditions (cancer etc.)

 a.
an increased overall toxicity of your daily lunch (... and/or breakfast, ... dinner)?
 how could this be?
if you're not up to date with the term: "processed food" you might experience this toxicity the
 hard way...
please keep in mind, at all times, that even when you cook for yourself (different courses for
lunch, etc.), this also is food processing.
(b.
 an increased alcohol intake/day?
 c.
an increased consumption of combustible tobacco/day?)

so, is there  a problem with these? yes, unfortunately, it might be...

might this also be a new insight on why everybody discusses only calories/day (of
different courses), and not their combined and/or cumulated overall toxicity/day?
we think so.

a, (b, c), a direct consequence of: "people being slaves of their own habits"?
more than probably.
about a.: it's not that we "aggress" ourselves (daily even - d.e.), it's that we are
"aggressing" ourselves (d.e.), without the necessary  knowledge about toxic
compounds and/or byproducts the food that we're eating/day, may contain.

liners - the "inside job"? (an all sports issue?)

yes, this is an all sports issue, excepting those done barefoot. :)

in skating, skiing, cycling, ... ballet even:
is the liner inside your sport shoe..., the "liason first officer", between you
and your exceptional sport performances? certainly yes!
don't use counterfeit sport shoes, or counterfeit liners inside your skates...,  if performance
is what you are after.

ex: what could one say about the compressibility of his skates' liner, if  soaked in
perspiration? how might this affect his overall skating performance?

liners, inside all our sport shoes (any detachable parts, shoelaces even) - do we really know
how to replace &/or customize them, to improve our performance?

be advised, some of the detachable parts could require custom re-engineering:
a. a choice of other materials, than the initial ones, could be beneficial.
b. remodeling the inside of a sport shoe (not a simple task, although may appear as such.)

sorry, further suggestions here, would only be given directly to those interested (e-mail)

the "behavioural dyspeptic" - a case study?

the "behavioural dyspeptic" is the 3rd new concept introduced, as intended & written (2/7/13),
(b.d. - conceptual approach, through cross disciplinary knowledge).

this approach might give you another insight, if you try to address & answer some of your
own nutrition related problems & questions.

the aim here?
- help healthy people achieve a better skating experience, by emphasizing more on -
the way & what they eat - strictly to their own benefit.

if you have any nutrition related organic condition, or experience sudden loss or gain in weight,
please seek medical advice at all times & address any of your problems to your general
practitioner, or ask for other appropriate medical assistance in your area.

this post is:
addressed exclusively to healthy people who seek minor adjustments
   in weight and/or muscular mass, so their skating experience could improve;
- strictly related to skating (r. s. & i. s. - freestyle), as we would not venture with opinions,
   into other sports;
- only referring to: slightly overweight or slightly too thin individuals, as first exterior signs
   of ill-nourishment might be just these;

what to eat? calories, vitamins, carbs, fibers, fat, proteins,... who didn't hear about...?
cook to eat? how is your cookin'? ex: does acrylamide ring any bells?
how to eat? how is your eatin'? ex:  one of John's biscuits ( :) still around) asked him:
                                                       ... chewing too fast?
...
