mimicked heredity? (eating habits - an all sports issue)

mimicked heredity? (eating habits - an all sports issue)
again, a google search here will not return this above chosen title, ... yet...

could this be that much needed story for changing lifestyles, or is it just out of
an impulse against a possible bad heredity?

ex:
the author would like to point out in advance here, that this ex.:
- uses analogy, to "go" from mouse models to cancer issues...
- in its novelty, has purely the purpose of keeeping our readers informed.
- tackles only mimicked heredity, be it as a connotation for us all, or not..
(for cancer pathologies, strictly speaking, pls. address your gp at all times.)

- uses conclusions given in two scientific works, below, namely:
"vertically transmitted faecal immunoglobulin a levels determine
    extra-chromosomal phenotypic variation." (2/16/15)
authors: Clara Moon, Megan T. Baldridge, Meghan A. Wallace,
                 Carey-Ann D. Burnham, Herbert W. Virgin &
                 Thaddeus S. Stappenbeck, (nature)
"risk factors and prevalence of helicobacter pylori infection in persistent
high incidence area of gastric carcinoma in Yangzhong city." (1/14/14)
authors  Yangchun Zhu, Xiaoying Zhou, Junbei Wu, (hindawi)

the question here:
if the results in the 1st work (published 2/16/15), showed that female mice
can pass down a bacterium (sutterella), to their offspring, that causes them to
have intestinal problems, mimicking a genetic disease, what can be said then,
with regard to the results in the 2nd work (published 1/14/14), about the
spreading of this other bacterium (helicobacter pylori (immunoglobulin g))?

our emotional moment on skate1st...

our emotional moment on skate1st...

sometimes, right in the middle of our work, someone, maybe completely
unknown &/or possibly inspired (or not :) ) by one of our ideas, gives us a sign,
a thumbs-up (or down :) ), a tweet, an e-mail... and this changes us forever...
and, as of today, on skate1st, maybe this someone might find himself, here below,
as our friend.

therefore, ...would like to take this opp. and kindly thank to:
Mr.. Cory Lee (t:: coryleetweets); he took a moment, not only to "push" the
twitter "follow" button for skate1st (t:: catun_)
but, here's what Mr. Cory Lee says about himself on: curbfreewithcorylee
"...also happen to have wheels for legs (not literally)..."
".. want to share my accessible (and to my dismay, sometimes not so accessible)
 adventures with you."
"...hopefully ...can inspire you to start rolling around the world."

Mr. Cory Lee,  you just made our moment emotional,
thanks!

the engineer "malgré lui"?

the engineer "malgré lui"?

this is in no way an anti-engineering satire, as it was Moliere's anti-médicale satire::
"le medicin malgré lui"
on the contrary dear reader, don't you think it's time to give engineers & you, the
respect they & you, really deserve?

written...in recognition of Rodney Mullen's (t: mullenrodney) extraordinary achievements
as a skateboarder; he is one of those who created & still creates what never was,
without having an engineering background.
in this respect, he was & is an engineer "in spite of himself", or as they would say in
french: "malgré lui".
check out some of his tricks, the: "darkslide", "kickflip", "underflip", "heelflip",
do you think that he made them possible & generally repeatable, using his
... "geometrical thinking and intelligence?" as defined in skate1st's post, written 7/6/14? :)

... more here than meets the eye...

also have your say here...
in the wake of higher education systems becoming more expensive pretty much
everywhere, tell others like you (engineers or not), what your present concerns.
might be...

the skaters' crowd management abilities - conflict dissipation (crowd skating)

the skaters' crowd management abilities - conflict dissipation (crowd skating)
(written in conjunction with: "our geometrical thinking & intelligence? an all sport issue"
 (7/6/14))

"conflict dissipation" is the 7th new concept introduced as intended & written (2/7/13)
(c.d. - conceptual approach through cross disciplinary knowledge)

(due to some implications to the military & other, only the introduction of this new concept
& a simple example will be shown here)

although a lot has been said about conflict diffusion, none was ever mentioned about
conflict dissipation (google search it & see, :) )
if conflict dissipation is pretty much about: "nipping problems in the bud", then might this
be your best possible clue now? :)
to further notice how skaters are self learning (even if not fully aware at all times) to build up
such abilities (mainly when crowd skating) just take a closer look, at the means employed
(within their very own initiatives) by even the youngest of those, already proficient crowd skaters,
whenever they sense part/parts of the crowd, anywhere in the rink/elsewhere, going..., well...,
not so predictable. :)

actively involved in cancer prevention? ..., or just a bid for the attn. of others...?

actively involved in cancer prevention? ..., or just a bid for the attn. of others...?

as of now, this blog will present more information related to cancer prevention.

are national centers for chronic disease prevention worldwide, in need of more
engineers, even though they don't know it yet?
(..., possibly because scientists explain what is & engineers create what never was?)

post dedicated to: Mr. Scott Hamilton (t: scotthamilton84), famous US ice skater - top 8
most popular athletes in the US; "I would love to explore the many ways we can learn
how to better participate in helping people in need directly and impact them more fully."
(quote from his website)

the author would like to point out here that although teen readers, might find this
post difficult to "digest", nonetheless keeping in mind the idea, might not prove a bad
idea after all (or after a while :)...)

this approach is intuitive & new, for it uses analogy & quantitative data statistics,
respectively if we already speak about:
the annual dose limit of: radiation for "the general public", namely: 1mSv (i.c.r.p.),
could we as well speak about:
the annual dose limit of carcinogenic food additives &/or contaminants for "the general
public"?

here above, for simplicity reasons, reference was only made to radiation induced
cancer and its heritable effects vs food additives &/or contaminants induced cancer and
their heritable effects.

is your child gifted? awakening of interest & acknowledgement of talent.

is your child gifted? awakening of interest & acknowledgement of talent.
(new approach)
don't google search it, you won't find it, at least for the moment...:)

every time a parent asks her/him self:
is my child gifted? the answer is an unquestionable yes for many (if not all),
but as life goes on, what may come after that "yes", could be very confusing,
..., unless parents will know well enough what to do further;

described here below, are some of your: "first steps" as parents, towards
your toddlers, ..., teens, not theirs towards you, ... :)

1. to really understand what your child is inclined to, means to be sensitive
to her/his natural inclinations; are you?
2. once aware of your child's natural inclinations, be prepared to awaken
her/his interest even further; are you?
3. be up-to-date, to choose & sustain your child's other activities, over
specific periods of time, to help her/his abilities develop, to enhance her/his
natural inclinations even more; are you?
4. be continuously interested in your child's original thinking & potential;
    are you?
5. be truly appreciative of your child's daily efforts & success; are you?

if your answers are: yes, only then expect your child to become talented;
many children (if not all) cannot become talented without first being gifted.

our geometrical thinking & intelligence? an all sports issue

our geometrical thinking & intelligence

be it soccer or skating, volleyball or tennis..., the players / competitors are
paying more and more attn., to their own trajectory (& that of the ball as well),
but also they became more self-helping, to anticipate & assess their next
moves & / or body postures, while on track  / playing field...

most of us wish we could improve certain things about ourselves, but lasting
change is difficult though...

ex.:
- disambiguation of "Rubik's cube" in terms of geometrical thinking:
matching colors on each face of a cube, using successive rotations (3-dimensional).
being given this ex., yes, be prepared to find out more about yourself:
people focused very  much on the toy itself (the best sold ever, etc.) only to miss
the simple disambiguation made above; this is why you did not know how you could
use such toys, to assess & progress yourself.
what one simply has to do, is to add the time (variable) until the cube is solved, or just
one face (for fresh starters); having in mind these successive: time values  / one face,
you will find out how you're doing in terms of geometrical thinking & intelligence,
memory even, etc. & "at the end of the day"  not only / play session...

(exemplification for crowd skating)

our dynamical thinking & memory? new approach - an all sports issue.

"... dynamical thinking & memory" are the 5th, respectively 6th, new concepts, introduced
as intended & written (2/7/13)
(o.d.t.&m. - conceptual approach through cross disciplinary knowledge)

written in recognition of:
- Michael Schumacher's extraordinary chance, following his ski accident
(today he got out of hospital in Grenoble).
- all his doctors' efforts.

(do not google search it, you won't find it, :) it is a new approach  :)
everybody has heard of lateral thinking, how about analytical  thinking? yes certainly!
but what about our dynamical thinking & / or dynamical memory?

as new concepts we have the intent to introduce here, what everybody already may have
experienced many times, but never thought to define as such.

(exemplification for skating)
while we skate, did we ever give a thought to our:
- body dynamics?
if yes, we would like to call it from now on, our dynamical thinking ..
mentally ready to race on that track? ..gone trough some (or all) of our (track related):
- memories of movements & / or postures?
if yes, we would like to call it from now on, our dynamical memory...

so, the question mark here:
how were Michael Schumacher's priorly acquired
- dynamical thinking,
- dynamical memory,
effectively affecting his descent, while skiing on that slope, the day he had the accident?
